Madison Whelan, MT-BC (NICU-MT), is a music therapist pursuing a Master’s Degree in music therapy from Florida State University. She currently serves as an independent contractor and provides music therapy services to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and older adults. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in music therapy at the University of Louisville and interned with the University of Louisville Music Therapy Clinic. During her internship Madison gained clinical hours in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the University of Louisville Hospital. She has since given presentations on the topic of developmental care in the NICU at the Southeastern Regional music therapy conference and as part of the National Institute for Infant & Child Medical Music Therapy through Florida State University.
